The first Takeover Event took place at KIMEO – Lyon in July 2024. It was the first event offering 32 Chases matches in a Round-Robin format. 3 Elite teams joined to see who would get crowned first King of the Mountain.

With Urban Corp Mamba (former WCT World Champions and sensation at WCT6 Worlds), Fakaw (one of the fastest rising teams in the sport) and Phantom, a team made for the occasion with 4 vice-World Champions from 2 different teams. This last team was built by Squared App.

The event was commentated by Amos Rendao (2x World Champion and coach of Hollywood Freerunners) and Walt Brandsema, one of the most experienced play by play commentator in World Chase Tag.
